Murakami Eye Collection

How hard is it to find these very rare Murakami Eye Collections? Just recently my search for Louis Vuitton's exclusive eye collection sent me on a frenzied search on the internet. These bags are extremely rare and tough to find! Whew! Talk about collections…We have the, 'eye love you' collection, the 'eye dare you collection' and also the 'eye need you collection' which by far is the hardest to find…
These bags were initially designed by a man known as Takashi Murakami. His work consists of Japanese cartoons and also Japanese paintings. Before the Louis Vuitton Eye Collection was ever born, Murakami's first project was featured at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Arts for Transit Program resembled big, giant like eyes which stood out on a big ball or object of some sort. Little did Murakami know it would catch the eye of Marc Jacobs, who for the past couple years has designed bags for the Louis Fashion house. These two teamed up and eventually re invented the monogram design into a more fun, fascinating and extremely rare handbag collection calling it the the Murakami Eye Collection.
Today, the Eye Collection has expanded into four categories:
- The Eye Dare You Collection. (One of Murakami’s first Collection. Born in 2002)
- The Eye Love You Collection. (Born in February, 2003)
- The Eye Need You Collection.
- The Eye Miss You Collection. (Released in 2004)
These bags have been one of the top selling bags since they arrived on the scene and though although very rare and only limited to while supplies last, Murakami continues to invent life-like handbags that portray the beauty of his designs and makes them into a luxurious handbags for us to enjoy and cherish.
