Louis Vuitton Audra

The Louis Vuitton Audra is new into the Louis Vuitton Multicolore range.

Reportedly named after a Broadway singer, the Louis Vuitton Audra is LV's first stab at a new direction for the multicolore range as well.

It's certainly more unique than many bags.

In it's own right it's also very exciting, as there are a couple of new features being exhibited on the Louis Vuitton Audra for the first time!

The first new styling touch which draws you to it almost immediately are the cowhide trim "guards" on either end of the bag.

One of the few but common complaints / observations that LV lovers the world over make is the lack of adequate protectors for the bottoms of their bags.

Some in the different ranges have feet on them - such as the Graffiti alma bags - but most don't! This has always been a bit of a bug bare in the forums!

The new Audra is the first time I've seen this cowhide trim added to such a vulnerable area - and in such "quantity" also!

It may not be LV's intent for this to act as a scuff guard but that is what it will end up being perceived as!

The quality of design is evident in that the two trim sections are both stitched and held with gold metal studs. In other words - easy to replace. However, the downside to that is you may well end up with a different patina color to the leather gaurds than on the rest of the bag!

Measuring 10 inches long by 8 inches high and 5.9 inches deep the Louis Vuitton Audra has a different shape, almost triangular without the sharp point!

It's definitely a robust and strong looking bag. Thick cowhide leather handles attached to chunky golden metal links hints at a touch of the Ambre cruise bags. The handles are also well attached to the bag body through strong D links and heavily stitched tabs.

Available in the white or black multicolore pattern the bag insides differ accordingly. As seems to be the new way forward, white MC has a ruby red alcantara lining and the black bags have the mole grey alcantara lining.

Storage inside the bag is divided down between two separate compartments.

Now, I can't say with hand on heart that I know who the Audra is supposed to be designed and named after. But looking at the bag I'd have to guess that who ever it is, they're strong, vibrant and well recognized in their chosen field!

I mean, how often do LV name a bag after someone as they have done with the Louis Vuitton Audra?

Answer = Not that often!
